Description
In the herbal tradition, lavender is typically thought of as a gentle sedative. It may reduce anxiety and stress, while improving sleep. Lavender may also soothe menstrual cramping, improve skin health, ease varicose veins, and reduce fatigue.* It also smells wonderful! A little lavender goes a long way, so while many herbal teas call for a tablespoon of tea to 8 ounces of water, 1 to 2 tsps. of lavender tea is sufficient. Steeping time is usually no more than about 7 to 8 minutes. Otherwise, the tea may be too bitter to drink.
