Comfrey Salve

Description

Our Comfrey Salve is a light, yellowish-green salve created to support healing from recent injuries and post-surgery pain.

Herbal ingredients: Comfrey has a long history of use in promoting healing from soft tissue injuries, broken bones, and bruising. It contains minerals to support the healing process. Comfrey also contains allantoin, a naturally occurring compound that promotes cell growth.  Arnica may reduce swelling, bruising, and pain from injury and trauma. Finally,ginger root is a mild anti-inflammatory, as well as a catalyst, assisting the comfrey and the arnica to work more quickly and effectively.

Application: Apply Comfrey Salve 2-3 times daily to support pain and bruising from acute injuries or post-surgical pain. Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds.

Warnings: While safe for topical use, comfrey contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids which have been linked to liver damage. Thus, comfrey should not be taken internally or used on broken skin. Additionally, arnica may cause a rash in sensitive persons. To ensure safety, Comfrey Salve should not be used for more than two consecutive weeks.
